This announcement regulates the course of the 4th Online-Skat-World-Cup.

The tournament is played according to the tournament rules of skat-online.com unless other provisions are made in this announcement.

2 Entry fee, basic costs and implementation

The entry fee for the Online Skat World Cup is 50.00 Euro. The entry fee will be fully paid out as prize money.

The in addition to the registration fee incurred basic fee is 20.00 Euro.

Via the basic fee subsequent grants will be awarded:

  • Organization
  • Travel subsidies for the finalists
  • 2 overnight stays per finalist
  • A buffet and drinks for the finalists during the playing time of the final rounds

3 Schedule

Participation in 24 rounds is necessary for a successful qualification for the final. Three match days consisting of 2 rounds each are offered between the 18th and 19th match day to catch up missed rounds.

"Pre play" for rounds 19 to 24 is not possible.

The dates for the qualifying rounds and the final are published in the agenda.

4 Payout of the entry fee (prizes)

The entry fee will be fully awarded as prize money. The basic fee will not be awarded as prize money..

The payout will be:

single qualification round
The prize ranks are based on the final result of each qualification round. For rounds played to catch up missed series there will be no prizes. The payout will take place directly after the finish of the eligible rounds.

overall qualification
The first 16 ranks qualify for the final in Wisla/Poland. The ranks 17 and below are based on the result of the 24 qualification rounds. The payout will for the ranks 17 and below will take place after the last round of the qualification.

finals
The ranks 1 to 16 will be payed out according to the ranks in the finals. The payout will take place during the award ceremony.

If a qualified player can not participate in the finals the next available player from the ranks 17 or below will participate in her or his stead.
The originally qualified player gets the prize money of the substituting player. The payout will take place after commitment of the substituting player. If a player substitutes for a qualified player the prize money already paid out will be deducted from the prize money in the finals.

5 Registration

Every interested skat player can participate in the Online Skat World Cup.
The prerequisites are:

  • At least a standard membership (free of charge) on skat-online.com to use the online skat game
  • Registration for the tournament area of skat-online.com to participate in the Online Skat World Cup

Ineligible players are:

  • Players blocked in Germany by DSkV and/or ISPA
  • Players blocked in any section of ISPA WORLD
  • Players blocked on skat-online.com

ISPA WORLD reserves the right to deny participation to any player.

Deadline:

First deadline is the 22nd of October 2016, 24:00h CET.

Late registrations can be made up until after the 5th series, as up to 6 series can be caught up between series 18 and 19.

Qualification and participation in the finals:

 A maximum of 501 players can register for the Online Skat World Cup.

  • If registration exceeds 501 players the earlier time of registration and payment of entry fee and basic fee decides the order
  • 24 match days with one round each consisting of 36 games (tables of three players) will be played
  • The 16 highest ranking players qualify for the final rounds in Wisla/Poland and fight to be Online Skat World Champion.

6 Bump money

For lost own games in all played rounds bump money will be collected.

The bump money is staggered per played series:

  • 1st to 5th lost game: 1,- Euro each
  • From the 6th lost game on: 2,- Euro each

7 Payment of entry fee, players account, credit

The entry fee and basic fee are due with registration.

Players, who did not credit their account with the necessary amount before the first round of the qualification, are not eligible to participate. The incoming of the payment at skat-turniere.de is decisive.

With registration to the Online Skat World Cup a players account will be created. At the latest after 24 hours this account will be available and can be viewed and edited at meinskat.skat-online.com.

  • The bump money will be deducted after every round played. The player is responsible to have sufficient credit on his players account. During the finals in Poland the bump money is to be paid directly to ISPA WORLD. A deduction from the players account is not possible.
  • Players with a negative balance on their players account can be blocked from playing further rounds.

Important for our foreign skat players:

We recommend that participants from outside Germany pay an amount sufficient for the fees and the bump money to save additional bank charges.

Funds can be requested at any time and are transferred back in a short period of time.

8 Seeding

The seeding takes place according to this process:

Seeding of rounds:

  • The first qualification round will be drawn
  • Series 2 to 24 will be seeded according to the average score over the actually played rounds.

9 Time limit

A qualification round has a time limit of 80 minutes. After 80 minutes the server ends the series automatically.

Time is not stopped for any reason.

10 Non-appearance of players

If a player does not show up for a series the tournament manager waits for 5 minutes after the scheduled start of the round.

After the waiting period of 5 minutes the tournament manager will appoint substitutes for the missing players.

As substitutes members of the skat-turniere.de-team which do not participate in the tournament will serve as substitute. The score of the substitute will not be recorded.

Absence of three players will be solved by reseating the remaining players without the use of substitutes.

Rating of unplayed series:

Between round 18 and 19 three match days consisting of 2 series each are offered to catch up up to 6 series missed from the first 18 rounds.

Players with less than 18 series in the ranking are automatically seeded for the "catch up" rounds. If a player would like to play a missed round in a specific "catch up" round should notify the tournament manager at Diese E-Mail-Adresse ist vor Spambots geschützt! If a player misses more than six rounds of the first 18 rounds or misses one of the last six rounds these serie count with a score of 0.

The tournament manager reserves the right to disqualify players with 2 or more missing rounds which can no longer be caught up.

11 Finals of the 16 best players

The finals take place on the before the European Skat Championships in Wisla/Poland 2017.

The participants in the finals start with a blank score sheet. The finals will be scored by table points. Online Skat World Champion will be the player with the most table points. If more than one player has an identical table score the sum of the score sheets decides the ranking.

The official award ceremony will take place during the opening of the 20th ISPA European Skat Championship.

Round in the finals:

The 16 participants in the finals play 5 series consisting of 48 games at tables with 4 players. The tables will be seeded so every player meets all other players exactly once. There is a time limit of 1 hour and 45 minutes for each series.

Travel expenses for participants in the finals:

ISPA WORLD pays travel expenses to the 16 finalists depending on their place of residence. The travel expenses will be paid out during the award ceremony.

The amount of the travel allowance is:

  • Players from Germany and Poland: 100,- Euro
  • Players from other European countries: 150,- Euro
  • Players from non-European countries: (Asia, Australia, Africa, South und North America): up to 1.200,- Euro. The actual travel expenses need to be proven to ISPA WORLD.

12 Nicks and real names

Every participant recognizes, that he can be named with his real name in the course of media coverage on the Online Skat World Cup.

The qualification rankings consists of the nick names (pseudonyms) chosen during registration.

The finalists will be named with pseudonym and real name.

13 Changes and additions

The organizer reserves the right to introduce changes to this announcement until the 22nd of October 2016. Changes will be highlighted naming the date of the introduced change.

Every player has the right to withdraw from the Online Skat World Cup if a change is introduced after his registration.

With the first participation in a qualification round the player accepts any changes (if any were made). A withdrawal on grounds of a changed announcement is then no longer possible.
